St Constantine of Scotland

Govan Old Parish Church is built over the relics and holy well of St Constantine of Scotland. He was an Irish monk (recorded in the Annals of Ulster and the Aberdeen Breviary) who came to Scotland to work with St Kentigern in converting the Picts. He was martyred around 572.

Pan-Orthodox Vespers

Pan-Orthodox Vespers on the Sunday of Orthodoxy was hosted by the Russian Orthodox Community of St Kentigern in their beautiful chapel within Govan Old Parish Church. Almost everyone was there but we all missed Fr John from Edinburgh terribly. He is very ill and we ask your prayers.

Almost everyone!

From L to R: Fr Dcn Luke (Edinburgh), Fr Dcn Mark (Glasgow), Fr Marcel (Glasgow), Fr Dcn Mark (Dunblane), Archpriest Alexander (Dunblane), Archimandrite Avraamy (Edinburgh), Fr George (Glasgow) and Hieromonk Michael.

(thank you to Fr George for the above photographs)
